Our trading terms are intended to provide existing and new clients of Tableland Veterinary Service with clarity and transparency regarding our accounts and payment options prior to any animal treatments.
Standard Account Terms
All new clients welcomed to Tableland Veterinary Service will be issued with a standard account.
All standard account holders are required to pay for veterinary services at the time of service, and all medications and retail merchandise at the time of collection. Any special orders must be paid for at the time of ordering. We would like to remind all existing and new clients to Tableland Veterinary Service that we do not provide credit for any pet care products or services.
A deposit equivalent to 50% of the estimated treatment costs is required for all complicated and/or unexpected cases including but not limited to: fracture repairs, abdominal surgery, tick or snake bite envenomation and parvovirus infections. The balance of your account is payable on discharge of the patient or when the case has been finalised.
Where a home visit is required, the estimated cost of treatment and travel will need to be prepaid prior to the visit. This can be arranged via credit card over the phone. Any additional costs will be payable on completion of the service. Any prepayment in excess of the final account will be refunded.
We accept the following payment methods: cash, cheque, credit card, EFTPOS or direct credit from your bank account.
Third Party Credit Providers
We also offer a range of third-party credit options for clients who are unable to pay at the time of service. Please speak to our reception team prior to veterinary treatment of your pet if you would like help making an application to one of our payment partners.
ZipPay – www.zip.co – better suited to accounts estimated to be less than $1000)
VetPay – www.vetpay.com.au – better suited for estimated accounts in excess of $1000 or for animals requiring on-going treatment where the total cost of treatment Is likely to be unknown.
Centrepay is available for clients to prepay for veterinary services in advance. This service consists of deductions from your regular Centrelink payments. We are unable to offer Centrepay as a method for paying existing outstanding account balances. Please ask our reception team for details about Centrepay or to obtain a Centrepay Application Form.
Clients who use Tableland Veterinary Service for regular property visits for the treatment of livestock and horses, or clients who have a bona fide commercial livestock, horse breeding or farming enterprise, may apply for either a 14 Day or Monthly Trading Account. Once completed, these application forms should be submitted to our accounts team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, posting to PO Box 43, Malanda QLD 4885, or hand delivering to any of our clinics. Please speak to our team if require assistance.
Account fees apply to any overdue balances and are charged at a rate of $5 plus 1.5% of the overdue balance per month. In the event where overdue amounts are referred to a debt collection agency, the account holder will be liable for all costs incurred in collection, including legal fees.
